It's christmas time...again.

So I've been pretty busy. Here's the latest, in pictures of course.
Thanksgiving:
The car was definately packed.

The spread.

G-man. Looks a lot like Luke as a baby.

Stella likes to pose.

Aunt Jennifer did her hair like Alex's. They're rockstars ;)

Stella did a lot of chillaxin.

Ladybug is a nut.

Aunt Jennifer and her adorable son :)

Stella was very excited about EVERYTHING.

Willy and Watson enjoyed playing with Ladybug, my great grandparents' dog. (They adopted her from Helotes Humane society!)

Emily, one of my HHS foster cats. My grandma adopted her, and they're perfect for eachother.

The cousins played a lot of Guitar Hero.

Christmas:

Can I just say I LOVE THIS DOG? She's the only dog we've ever had who tolerates the reindeer costume. Sure, the antlers got a little annoying, but she kept them on :)
Watson, Willy and Stellaluna.
King didn't WANT to sit up.
Minnie...being awkward is her thing.
Idk about mom, but I'm regretting letting Minnie 'raise' Phoebe...she thinks she's a pointer now.

This is the corrolation of salvation and love...

I would post more frequently, but I'm totally swamped with school. Ugh. Sorry.

Stella appears to have a really infected tick bite. I remember pulling one off her at a picnic the day we found her, but I don't exactly recall where I pulled it off of her. I'm almost positive it was her neck, and the sore on her neck looks like an infected tick bite to me. I cleaned it off, and put a generous amount of neosporin on it. She was good about that. She tolerates a lot.
She's doing much better with her housetraining. I'm very sure she was a housedog at one time. She knows she's supposed to do her business outside. If I don't take her several times a day, she will go on the carpet. But that hasn't happened in almost 2 weeks now.

I'm so proud of Ember! She's in the living room with me right now. For those of you who don't know my cat, she's SUPER shy and usually doesn't come out of my room. Here lately she darts out of it anytime I open the door, and spends her day sitting on the stairs, where she can dart back up to my room if anything frightens her. But right now, she's made it down the stairs, over several baby gates, and into the front of the house, and she's playing with Echo. :)

Mom was ALMOST on Fox News this morning. We took some of the pups with us to go advertise for the humane society. Diana ('Baby Di') and Luna are 'stars' now :) Barb ended up being on instead of mom. But that was okay. Its about the animals, not the people.

My tongue is really bothering me. It gets irritated easily, and the stud seems to slip around too much. Its stretched a bit, too. I'm gonna order a larger gauge stud and see if that helps. Its 14g right now. I'm ordering a 12 and a 10. I doubt I'll need the 10, but you never know.

New favorite band= MGMT. Check them out if you're into indie/psychedelic/just wierd music.

We're taking our time with this

So I cleaned out cat cages today at Petco, and in between cages, I got Monday, one of the coolest cats ever, out to hold him and pet him. He normally enjoys this. He's a very loving, friendly cat. Well this time, some little kid was playing with a dog toy that had a squeaker in it. Apparently Monday doesn't like squeakers...cuz he kept twitching, and before I could register that something was wrong and I should put him up, he FREAKED OUT and started clawing me and bit down on my pinky pretty hard when I tried to grab him by the scruff of his neck. I had to just drop him. Normally I hang on to cats when they do that, but he was beyond controlling at that moment. He just walked about 6 feet away and sat there, still twitching, so mom easily caught him and put him back in his cubicle, where he was totally fine. But I was standing there, bleeding, with several deep scratches and bite marks, trying to hold back tears (and not suceeding). It always freaks me out when I get bitten. At the time, the adrenaline keeps me from freaking out, but afterwards, I cry and realize how bad it was. That's how I am with anything...My reactions are always delayed.
But yeah. Now my arm is covered in band-aids and my pinky is completely wrapped up. It hurts to use, so I bandaged it to the point of immobility. Then, since the bandage (more like cast...I wrapped it in a lot of tape) comes off easily, I'm wearing a wrist warmer over it to keep it on. It's a very hardcore look.
"Stellabear" is recovering quite well from her surgery, and jumps up on the couch whenever she darn well pleases now. I try to be around so I can help her, cuz she doesn't need to be jumping and possibly ripping her incision open, but there have been at least 2 times where she's done it anyway. She's also eating again, which is AWESOME. I grated a chunk of the Natural Balance Lamb roll and mixed it with some canned lamb and rice food, then mixed in her glucosamine. I originally wasn't gonna mess with the NB, but she wasn't touching the food otherwise. And I didn't want the glucosamine to go to waste, so I mixed the NB in. It smells so good...I'd eat it. It smells like beef jerky. Not even kidding. Of course, once I mixed that in her food, she devoured it. So I guess I've found myself with a picky eater. Sad. I love her anyways though :)
I'm pretty tired...but I'm gonna go finish up this algebra lesson before I crash. Wouldn't want to get in trouble in the morning....

It's all that I've got.

Well. I guess I deleted my old blog? Hmm. Anyways. I'm sitting around waiting for my sheets to dry so I can go to bed. Stellaluna had her spay surgery today and she's sleeping on the dog bed across the room from me. She's so out of it... She's already a picky eater, so being groggy after her surgery, she definitely wanted nothing to do with food. I finally convinced her to eat at about 11pm, but of course she turned down the canned food I'd mixed her glucosamine supplement in. She ate up the chopped pieces of the Natural Balance roll I fed her, though. And she's drinking lots of water. So I'm not too concerned.

Echo's upstairs right now...'mrrrrrowwww'ing at no-one in particular. Just letting us know he's up there. And by us I mean me and Stella, cuz we're the only ones awake.
Been listening to a lot of Deas Vail and Heavens lately. Deas Vail makes me happy. Heavens makes for either a dreary day or a mellow day. Depends on how the day's already going.
I've GOT to get more school done. I HAVE to graduate in December. I've got too much life to live, and school's in the way. I'm a bit afraid of the future though...not sure what's out there after high school. It won't be too terribly different from how it is now, I think, since I'm already home all day :P I feel so sorry for public schoolers...once they're outta high school, it's like BAM they're out there in the world. And they find themselves with too much time on their hands.
...they should use that time to volunteer for the Humane Society!!! :D
Speaking of which. We're doing a super adoption event this weekend apparently. Hopefully we get some animals adopted out...my current foster kittens are quite feral and do not like me AT ALL. It's kinda annoying...I want to love them, but when they hiss and spit at me, it gets old. Mikey's home too, and he's mad. He wants to go back to Petco. He misses Monday. Gertie loved Monday, too. I'm glad she got adopted though...we had her a long time.
